Dawn "Sue" M. Thompson

Dawn “Sue” Thompson, 74, of Sayre, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family following an extended illness.

She was born on February 28, 1949, in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Donald and Anna (Groover) Harvey.                                                                                                              

Sue was a cook at Alliger’s House of Wings for many years. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, and being outdoors. She was an avid builder of jigsaw puzzles. Sue loved spending time with her family the most, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandma, mema, sister, and friend.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son-in-law Eugene Beeman.

Sue is survived by her longtime companion Ken Glosenger, daughters Michelle Beeman, Sue Ann Thompson-Dibble and her husband, Jody, and Kelly Decker and her husband, John, grandchildren Ashley and her husband, Aaron, Josh and his wife, Taylor, Rebekah and her husband, CJ, Casey, Zackery and his wife, Kelsey, Jay, and Callie, great-grandchildren Nathan, Annaleise, Nolan, Carson, Cayson, Cohen, Gatlin, Addisyn, Layla, Olivia, Lily, Liam, Grant, Rohan, and Evalynn, and brother, Donnie Harvey.

Family and friends may call on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 2pm-4pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at 4pm at the funeral home.
