Charles "Chuck" U. Ford

Charles “Chuck” U. Ford, 87, of Athens, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 8. 2023 at the Highlands Care Center following an extended illness.

He was born on June 24, 1936, in Latour, MO, the son of the late Henry and Elsie (Dillard) Ford.

Chuck was a Veteran of the US Air Force, where he was the Trumpeter in the Air Force, traveling around wherever his services were needed. He was an avid Woodworker and retired from Croft Lumber after many years of service.

Chuck was a member of the Rural Amity Lodge #70 in Athens, the Sayre VFW Post #1536, and the Boarder Rides Motorcycle Club. He loved riding his motorcycle and going to antique car shows.

Chuck is survived by his beloved wife for 51 years Virginia L. (Catlin) Ford, son and daughter-in-law Stephen and Jaehee Ford, daughter and son-in-law Tina and Duane Simons, grandson and his wife Ian and Mia Ford, sister-in-law Dianne Woodburn, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11am at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA.

Burial will follow at the cemetery with Military Honors.
