Charles Asher Harris

Charles Asher Harris, (96).  

Born December 31, 1929, to Hiram and Elsie Harris, the youngest of 6 children; 2 sisters, Helen (Roy) Saunders and Bea (Paul) Reyman, 3 brothers, Wesley (Grace) Harris, Chester (Edna) Harris, and Robert (Ruth) Harris.

He met and married his high school sweetheart, Esther Ryman on 10/21/1950. Together they raised 6 children, Linda (Mike) Panetta, Donna (Dan) Hill, David, Julie (Wayne) Harding, James (Linda Shafer) Harris, and Mark (Tammy) Harris. 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Charles and Esther were dairy farmers who owned and operated Harris Farm Market and Bake Shop in Milan, PA.

No services will be held as per Charles’ wishes. The family will be having a private remembrance. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
