Obituary of Carole Susan Glab
Carole, 76, passed away at home with her husband by her side after a 17-month battle with stage 4 Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Carole was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from Olney HS, in 1967. She and her husband moved to Litchfield in 1973 and rebuilt a small barn into their house where they raised their family. Carole enjoyed gardening, cooking, bike riding, spending summer days at the pond, and horseback riding. Later, she loved being a wonderful grandmother to her 3 grandchildren.
After her husband retired, they spent many winter months on the Caribbean coast of Mexico where they enjoyed snorkeling on the 2nd longest barrier reef in the world and enjoying the company of their many friends.
She was predeceased by both parents.
Carole is survived by Stanley Glab, her husband of 56 years, a former Paxar Manager, daughter Nicole Glor, her husband Jeff Glor and grandchildren, Jack and Victoria of Greenwich, CT, daughter, Kimberly Glab and her husband Erik Franklin and grandson Waylon of Sayre, PA, sister, Karen Fleck and brother, Michael Davis and wife Rebecca, both in the Philadelphia area.
At the request of the family, there will be no local services. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
