Carol Elizabeth Crawford

Carol Elizabeth Crawford, 80, of Lockwood, NY, passed away unexpectedly at Robert Packer Hospital on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

She was born on September 21, 1944 in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Gerald W. Shaffer and Laura E. Reid Knowles.

Carol was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. Upon returning, she worked as a nurse at Robert Packer Hospital, retiring from her position after many years of dedicated service.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband; Raymond D. Crawford, daughter; Christine Tedesco, son; Raymond Tedesco, and sister Nancy Lattimer.

Carol is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Jennifer and Philip Lane, step-son and his wife; Gary and Dawn Crawford, step-daughter and her husband; Leslie and Kenny Montanaro, grandson; Arthur Kurtz and his father Bill, sister, Julie Larnard-Newbury, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Time of Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 5:30pm – 6:30pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home with the Rev. Jira Albers officiating.

Memorial donations may be made in Carol’s name to the Bradford County Humane Society, US-220, Ulster, PA 18850.
