Bonnie Jo Moody, age 72, of Waverly, New York, passed away on October 7, 2021, after a short stay at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, Pennsylvania.
Born March 10, 1949, in Elmira, New York, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Esther Green Spencer and Lloyd “Scottie” Spencer. She was a graduate of Southport High School, Elmira, New York in 1967.
Bonnie’s past times included, but not limited to, an immense love for the arts – ballet and dance giving her a great deal of joy throughout her life. She would also enjoy diving into a Stephen King novel and other noted authors and when completed, she would share that book with her friends and family. Her knowledge of jewelry was uncanny – to the point where she could have had the credentials of a gemologist. An avid collector and a lover of lighthouses, these were only a small portion of her passions.
Bonnie married Mark Moody from Sugar Run, Pennsylvania on July 31, 1976. They celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this past July.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. The family is being cared for by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
