Bonnie Lee (Ryman) Edgerton

Bonnie Lee (Ryman) Edgerton, 78, of South Waverly., PA passed away on Mother’s Day, May 12, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born on October 22, 1945, in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Francis, Sr. and Doris (Campbell) Ryman.

Bonnie was a graduate of Athens High School, Class of 1963. Following graduation, she obtained her RN Degree and over the years was employed with several health care facilities, retiring from the Tioga Nursing Home in Waverly.

She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Bonnie loved traveling and recently was recalling the many trips that she and Bob had taken over the years. Bonnie enjoyed knitting, sewing, and was an avid reader. She spent many hours volunteering at the Athens Area School District Elementary School.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her son Robert C. Edgerton, daughter-in-law Lisa A. Edgerton, and brother-in-law Ron Saylor.

Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years Robert E. Edgerton, son William Edgerton, daughter Kathryn Smith (Scott Williams) grandchildren Matthew Edgerton, Erin Edgerton, Tyler Hicks, Brooklynn (Jordan) Pedro, Breann Edgerton, Darin Lee, Holly Smith, and Dylan Williams, great-grandchildren Hailey Hicks and Madisyn Hicks, sister Carol Saylor, brother Francis, Jr. (Pam) Ryman, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Janet and Thomas Palmeter, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home with family friend, Pastor Linda Rogers officiating.

Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery.
