He was born on June 29, 1954, in Binghamton, NY, the son of the late Edward and Faye (Pennell) Yonkin.
Allen logged with his dad and brothers for 14 years. He continued to do logging and stone quarry work on his own over the years. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, JoAnne Peck in 2016, nephew, Larry Yonkin, Jr., niece, Nikki Jo Yoder, and sisters-in-law, Darlene Yonkin and Shirley Yonkin.
Allen is survived by the love of his life and wife, Delores (Austin) Yonkin at home, his little puppy, Katie, brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Pat Yonkin of TX, Larry and Donna Yonkin of Chuluota, FL, brother, Timothy Yonkin of Montrose, PA, sister, Roxanne Custer of New Milford, PA, sister and brother-in-law, Robin and Russell Harrison of Hallstead, PA, and many nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances.
Following Allen’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours or services. Arrangements are entrusted to Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
