Wesley T. Hoose

Wesley T. Hoose, 82, of Athens, PA, passed away at home with his wife by his side on Thursday, November 18, 2021, following an extended illness.

He was born on December 20, 1938, in Sayre, PA, the son of the late James and Bertha (Crammer) Hoose.

Wesley enjoyed racing, coloring and had a large collection of model trucks. He also enjoyed helping his wife, Barbara, to make blankets for everybody in the family.

He is predeceased by his daughter Becky Casterline, sister and brother-in-law Ann and Bob Taylor, his brother, James Hoose, Jr., and many aunts and uncles.

Wesley is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Barbara, sons and daughters-in-law Kevin and Myra Hoose and Wesley Allen and Tina Hoose, daughter and her husband Amy and Jermaine Wiley, son-in-law Chris Casterline, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, half-sister and her husband Grace and Tommy Smith and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Chemung Cemetery. The family is being assisted by Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.

Burial will be in Chemung Cemetery at the time of the service.
