In Loving Memory
Dr. Utpal K. Roychowdhury of Sayre, PA, passed away on October 15, 2021 after battling with glioblastoma multiforme, a terminal brain cancer.
“Roy” was a force of nature. His family meant more to him than anything else in this world. He was unendingly proud of his wife Sheema and daughter Cassiopeia and always did his best to support them.
He was an avid chess player and an expert in table tennis, even winning the Athens Area High School ping pong tournament in 2008. He had a passion for traveling and exploring new cultures. He was always excited to talk about his travels, cooking, and eating good food, especially while watching the original Star Wars trilogy.
The family wishes to thank all his caregivers, health care providers, and friends who supported Roy. They request that donations be made to the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital (https://www.guthrie.org/giving-guthrie) in lieu of flowers to honor his memory and fighting spirit.
