Matthew Kenline Obituary

Matthew Edward Kenline, of Sayre, PA, went to rest peacefully with the Lord at 1:10 A.M. on Friday, June 12, 2020, after fighting a nearly three-decade battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Matthew was born on October 25, 1960 in Tonawanda, NY, to loving parents Frank Elmo Kenline and Betty Ann (Oehler) Kenline.
He attended the Amherst Central school system growing up, and graduated from Paul Smith's College with a Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He went on to pursue a very successful career in retail management and began an eighteen-year marriage to Teena (Paul) Kenline, (Spooner.) They had three children, Tabitha L. Kenline, Ashley M. (Kenline) Beams, her husband Sean D. Beams, and Matthew E. Kenline II and his fiance, Barbara L. Monell.
Matthew was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tabitha, grandson, Thomas.
He is survived by his daughter and son, three siblings: Brother, Phillip Kenline, his Wife, Emily (Cheron ) Kenline, their three children: Eric and Staci (Holmes) Kenline Kim Kenline and Marcus Kenline, Sister, Wendy (Kenline) Merk, her Husband, Jay Merk, their three children: Jason and Madeline Merk, Craig Merk and Christopher and Leigh Merk, Brother Marc Kenline, his Wife, Nadine (Gaul) Kenline and their children, Erinn Kenline and Joshua Kenline. He too, is survived by, six grandchildren: Ellyssa Clinton, Isabella Beams, Layla Kenline, Brooklyn Kenline, Matthew E. Kenline III, and Sean Thomas-Duane Beams, along with three great-nieces and nephews.
A small, grave side ceremony will be held in Matthew's honor at 12:00 pm, on Tuesday June 16, 2020, at Acacia Park Cemetary, 4215 Tonawanda Creek Road, North Tonawanda, NY 14120 with Pastor Matthew Stengel, officiating.
Matthew was passionate about his, family, friends, the Buffalo Bills and always looked forward to charter fishing with his Dad, brothers and sisters. All are welcome as we send Matthew away to God, always remembering how his sense of humor brightened our lives through adventure, love, and laughter. You will be greatly missed and forever remembered. A larger celebration of life will be held at a later date. On behalf of all our family, we would like to send a special "Thank You" to Athens Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Athens, PA, for their care and commitment to Matthew during his final stages of life. In Lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in Matthew's name.
